Willo Flood strike wins it for Aberdeen

A late wondergoal from Willo Flood sees Aberdeen overcome Hibernian by a single goal at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen have snatched a late victory over Hibernian in this evening's Scottish Premiership clash at Pittodrie.

The best chance of the first half came from a Willo Flood corner, but Mark Reynolds saw his close-range header kept out by Ben Williams.

Scott Vernon and Calvin Zola both missed the target from inside the box in the second half, while Jamie Langfield was on hand to deny Scott Heffernan.

With the game looking destined to end goalless, a moment of brilliance from Flood sealed the win for the Dons, which helped them cut the gap on leaders Celtic to 10 points.

Meanwhile, the visitors are sixth, five points behind Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
