British diver Tom Daley wins a gold medal at the Fina World Series event in Edinburgh over the weekend.

Olympic diver Tom Daley picked up a gold medal over the weekend by winning the Fina World Series event at the Royal Commonwealth Pool on Scotland.

The 18-year-old, who won bronze in the London 2012 Olympic Games last summer, managed to clinch the top honour with a 10m platform dive worthy of 542.15 points on Sunday.

Russia's Victor Minibav nabbed the silver medal, while Ivan Garcia of Mexico took bronze at the event in Edinburgh.

Daley has returned to competing following his mentoring role on ITV reality diving show Splash!.
