Michael van Gerwen aiming to "finish the job off"

Dutchman Michael van Gerwen declares that he is ready to "finish the job off" as he attempts to win his second successive Darts Premier League title.

Michael van Gerwen has declared that he is ready to "finish the job off" in his pursuit of a second successive Darts Premier League trophy.

The 25-year-old, who takes on Gary Anderson tonight, has made it into the final four of this year's tournament having finished top of the leaderboard.

"Winning the Premier League last year was a brilliant moment for me and I would love to do it again on Thursday," the Dutchman is quoted as saying by pdc-darts.co.uk.

"I'm delighted with the way the season has gone and finishing top of the table is a major boost to my confidence.

"I want to try and finish the job off on Thursday night but I know it's going to be difficult because three other great players have qualified."

Elsewhere, Phil Taylor takes on Raymond van Barneveld for a place in the final.
