Magnus Caris finds form to win PDC Tour Card

Swedish thrower Magnus Caris is one of four players to earn his PDC Tour Card on the final day of Qualifying School in Wigan.

Former World Championship semi-finalist Magnus Caris has secured his PDC Tour Card for another two years after fighting through the final day at Qualifying School in Wigan.

The Swede, who began Saturday having failed to record any points in the opening three days, made his way through a field of nearly 400 players before defeating Stephen Willard 5-4 in his deciding match.

The 46-year-old will be joined by Jamie Robinson, a winner on the Challenge Tour in 2014, after the Colchester player recorded a 5-2 win over the experienced Wayne Atwood in his last-eight contest.

Welsh thrower Jonny Clayton won three successive matches in a deciding leg before securing his place on the PDC Tour with a 5-0 victory over Andy Boulton.

Nathan Derry has earned his full PDC status at the second time of asking by beating Stephen McNally 5-1 in his deciding match.
