Liam Phillips is on course to add another medal to Great Britain's tally after securing a spot in the men's BMX semi-finals.

The Brit managed to finish second in all three qualifying runs in his heat, which automatically gifted him a spot in the next round.

Phillips and the USA's Connor Fields edged into the semi-finals along with the Netherlands' Raymon van der Biezen and Edzus Treimanis of Latvia who topped the rankings in heat one.

Marc Willers, Maris Strombergs and Twan van Gendt are among the riders that also reached the semi-finals and will contest for gold tomorrow.
