West Indies reached 169-2 on day two of the third and deciding Test against New Zealand, before rain halted play after lunch in Barbados.

They had bowled out the Black Caps for 293 on the opening day at the Kensington Oval and scored at more than four runs per over before played was stopped.

After resuming on 32-0, Chris Gayle and Kraigg Brathwaite took their opening stand to 79, before Gayle was caught for 42 off the bowling of Mark Craig, while Brathwaite was caught off Neil Wagner for 68.

Darren Bravo was unbeaten on eight in 22 balls as the rain arrived, with the series level at 1-1.
