Darren Sammy "looking forward" to Nottinghamshire Outlaws challenge

West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy is excited at the prospect of joining Nottinghamshire for this summer's T20 Blast.

West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy has spoken of his excitement at the prospect of playing for Nottinghamshire in this summer's T20 Blast.

Sammy signed a one-month deal with the club earlier today and could return for a second stint later in the year should the Outlaws reach the knockout stages.

The 31-year-old, who is currently competing with the West Indies at the World Cup, is particularly excited to play at Trent Bridge and revealed that he "can't wait" to join up with his new teammates.

"I'm looking forward to coming to England and experiencing T20 cricket with Nottinghamshire," Sammy is quoted as saying by PA.

"The Outlaws have a reputation for playing exciting cricket and have some hugely talented players.

"Trent Bridge is an excellent venue known worldwide, with great crowds, and I can't wait to get started."

Sammy has previously played in the same competition for Glamorgan and helped his country to the ICC World Twenty20 title in 2012.
