Chris Gayle to play for West Indies after 14-month absence

Former West Indies captain Chris Gayle will play his first game in 14 months for the national side in the one-day series against England this month.

The West Indies have recalled Chris Gayle for their one-day series against England following 14 months on the sidelines.

The 32-year-old will make a sensational return to the national side after falling out with the West Indies Cricket Board due to a dispute.

The former captain has been included in the squad alongside vice-captain Dwayne Bravo as well as spin-bowler Sunil Narine and all-rounder Kieron Pollard.

Gayle, who is the fourth-highest scoring batsman in the national side, will arrive in the UK for the series in the 15-man squad at Hampshire on June 16.
