Adelaide Strikers see off Sydney Sixers

The Adelaide Strikers comfortably beat the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League, with openers Tim Ludeman and Michael Klinger guiding the hosts home without the loss of a wicket.

The Adelaide Strikers made it three wins out of four in the Twenty20 Big Bash League by comfortably beating the Sydney Sixers by nine wickets at the Adelaide Oval.

The Sixers got off to a bad start when Daniel Smith was removed for a duck in the second over and it was slow going then on for the visiting side.

Opener Steve O'Keefe was run out for just four before Brad Haddin (22), Steven Smith (58) and Moises Henriques (32) helped the Sixers reach 135-6 from their 20 overs.

The target was not a daunting one for the Strikers to chase and the opening pair of Michael Klinger and Tim Ludeman raced towards the victory total.

Klinger went along steadily at a run-a-ball while Ludeman hit the majority of the boundaries at the other end. Both men moved past 50 in a 100-partnership before Klinger was stumped for 53 off the bowling of O'Keefe.

Ludeman ended the innings unbeaten on 71 runs as the Strikers reached their victory target of 136 with 25 balls remaining.
