Kings XI Warriors take an eight-wicket win against Pune Warriors in the Indian Premier League.

Kings XI Punjab have easily beaten Pune Warriors in the Indian Premier League today, recording an eight-wicket win with seven overs to spare.

Pune Warriors won the toss and Angelo Matthews decided to let his side bat first.

Manish Pandey was bowled for a duck in the opening over and was soon followed by Tirumalasetti Suman (6) and Marlon Samuels (3).

Only Abhishek Nayar (25*) managed to add more than 20 runs for the home side, as their batsmen struggled to settle at the crease, ending their 20-over spell on 99-9.

Despite losing captain Adam Gilchrist for 15, Kings XI Punjab sustained a high run rate in reply to their opponents' total, reaching 99 withing 11.5 overs.

Knocks of 31 from Mandeep Singh and 43* from Manan Vohra led the way for Kings XI, but it was David Hussey who hit the winning runs, taking the side to 100-2 in 12.2 overs, sealing an eight-wicket victory.
