Younis Khan helps reduce Pakistan's run target to 56 against Sri Lanka

Younis Khan helps to reduce Pakistan's target to 56 runs as they reach lunch on 321-3 on day five of the third Test against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan need 56 runs to snatch victory over Sri Lanka in the third and final Test in Pallekele thanks to an impressive stint at the crease from Younis Khan on day five.

The 37-year-old reached lunch unscathed on 142, but this morning he lost his batting partner Shan Masood, who was was sent packing by Tharindu Kaushal after scoring 125 off 233 balls.

Yesterday, the tourists were handed a mammoth task of reaching 377 runs to win, but centuries from Khan and Masood gave them a glimmer of hope.

Sri Lanka were handed a boost by the dismissal of Masood, but Misbah-ul-Haq was able to pick up where his teammate left off and contributed 27 to a 66-run unbeaten partnership by the end of the first session.

Pakistan are 321-3.
