Pakistan lose one before lunch in third Test against New Zealand

Shan Masood is the only Pakistan batsman to fall before lunch on day one of the third Test against New Zealand.

Pakistan have made a positive start to the opening day of the third and final Test against New Zealand by losing just one man before lunch in Sharjah.

The Black Caps had to wait until the 17th over before they eventually made a breakthrough, with Mark Craig taking the wicket of Shan Masood for 12 off 57 balls.

Daniel Vettori, who was making a welcome return to the New Zealand side this morning, bowled three overs in the first session for nine runs.

Pakistan will return to the crease after lunch on 82-1 with Mohammad Hafeez on 47 and Azahar Ali on 20.

New Zealand trail the series 1-0, having played out a draw in last week's second Test in Dubai.
