Pakistan seal ODI series victory over Sri Lanka

Pakistan cruise to a seven-wicket victory in the fourth one-day international against Sri Lanka to seal the series victory.

Pakistan secured their first one-day international series victory in Sri Lanka for nine years with a seven-wicket win in the fourth ODI this evening.

Pakistan went into the match leading the five-match series 2-1 and were set a victory target of 257 by the hosts in Colombo after losing the toss.

In reply, the visitors never looked in trouble and reached the target with more than nine overs remaining.

Azhar Ali and Ahmed Shehzad got Pakistan off to a fine start before Ali fell for 33 in the 12th over.

Shehzad went on to score a match-high 95 and enjoyed a 115-run second-wicket partnership with Mohammad Hafeez (70).

Sarfraz Ahmed (17*) and Shoaib Malik (29*) saw the result home, with Malik sealing victory with a six over mid-wicket.

The fifth and final ODI takes place in Hambantota on Sunday.
