Rahat Ali replaces Junaid Khan in Pakistan WC squad

Pakistan call Rahat Ali into their World Cup squad as a replacement for injured bowler Junaid Khan.

Pakistan have called Rahat Ali into their World Cup squad following the withdrawal of Junaid Khan.

Former Lancashire bowler Khan has been ruled out of the tournament because of a hamstring strain.

Bilawal Bhatti was expected to take his place in the squad, but Pakistan have instead opted for a like-for-like replacement in fellow left-arm seamer Rahat.

The 26-year-old played his only one-day international to date in 2012, but has been a regular in the Test team over the past two years.

Pakistan begin their World Cup campaign against rivals India in Adelaide on February 15 and will also face the likes of South Africa and West Indies in the group stage.
