ICC to test Mohammad Hafeez bowling action

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, who is currently suspended from bowling, will have his action re-assessed by the ICC next week.

The International Cricket Council has announced that Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez will have his bowling action tested next week.

The off-spinner was suspended from bowling in December after his action was reported during the Test series with New Zealand, while he missed the recent Cricket World Cup as a batsman because of an ankle injury.

The sport's governing body confirmed that the 34-year-old will have his action re-assessed in Chennai on April 9 following a period of work with the National Cricket Academy in Lahore to correct his elbow extension.

Teammate Saeed Ajmal recently had his action cleared by the ICC after spending five months working to correct his bowling style.
