ICC suspends Pakistan's Mohammad Hafeez from bowling

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is suspended from bowling by the ICC after being judged to have an illegal action.

The ICC has announced that Mohammad Hafeez has been suspended from bowling after being found to have an illegal action.

The Pakistan all-rounder was reported during the Champions League T20 earlier this year, and again during then national side's recent Test series against New Zealand, resulting in the sport's governing body taking action.

The ban prevents the 34-year-old from bowling in international cricket, but he can continue to deliver his off-spin during domestic matches while working to correct his action, before reapplying to the ICC for reinstatement.

Hafeez has taken 43 wickets in 40 tests for Pakistan at an average of 35.23.
