Waqar Younis delighted with Pakistan victory South Africa

Pakistan coach Waqar Younis feels that his side are starting to click into gear at the World Cup following their 29-run victory over South Africa via the D/L method.

Pakistan coach Waqar Younis has revealed his delight with his side's 29-run victory via the Duckworth-Lewis method over South Africa at the World Cup.

The Green Shirts made a modest 222 in 47 overs in a rain-affected match at Eden Park, but Mohammad Irfan, Rahat Ali and Wahab Riaz took three wickets each to guide their team to victory as they bowled out the Proteas for 202.

Waqar believes that his side are starting to click into gear in the competition and are becoming more aggressive in their all-round play.

"We have started finding the right combinations and people have started believing in themselves and trusting their abilities," he told reporters.

"We are playing the aggressive cricket Pakistan is known for and are going to get better and better, so I am very thrilled - but there is a long way to go."

Pakistan are next in action against Ireland in their Pool B clash on March 15.
