Nottinghamshire Outlaws overcome Leicestershire Foxes by 31 runs in a convincing Natwest T20 Blast victory.

Nottinghamshire Outlaws convincingly beat Leicestershire Foxes by 31 runs in this afternoon's Natwest T20 Blast encounter at Trent Bridge.

The Outlaws won the toss and chose to bat, going on to post a respectable total of 121-9 from their 20 overs.

Samit Patel (44) was the star and the only man to score more than 20 for the hosts, while Atif Sheikh was the pick of the Leicestershire bowlers after conceding just 11 runs off his four overs and taking two wickets.

The Foxes' reply got off to a poor start as they lost five wickets inside the first six overs before being bowled out for just 90 in the penultimate over.

Luke Fletcher bowled out Sheikh to win the match and complete figures of three for 11.
