England's Jos Buttler out of New Zealand match with hand injury

England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler is expected to return from injury in time for this summer's Ashes.

England's Jos Buttler has been ruled out of the Twenty20 international against New Zealand with a hand injury.

The wicketkeeper-batsman was replaced by Jonny Bairstow in the Royal London Series decider against the Kiwis, but it is yet to be confirmed whether he will also step in for Tuesday's one-off Twenty20 at Old Trafford.

"Jos Buttler has been ruled out of the NatWest IT20 against New Zealand with the hand injury that forced him to miss the current ODI," the England and Wales Cricket Board wrote on Twitter.

Buttler is expected to return to action in time for this summer's Ashes.
