Lancashire, Glamorgan T20 quarter-final rained off

Heavy rain in Manchester forces the first T20 Blast quarter-final between Lancashire and Glamorgan at Old Trafford to be postponed until Saturday afternoon.

The T20 Blast quarter-final between Lancashire Lightning and Glamorgan has been postponed due to heavy rain, and rescheduled for Saturday 2pm.

Old Trafford was due to host the first of the competition's last-eight matches on Friday evening, but a downpour in Manchester left areas of the field under water.

The umpires and the captains agreed to cancel the game even prior to the scheduled 6.30pm start time.

Lancashire are among the favourites for the trophy having finished top of the North Group with 10 wins from 14, but they will have to do without England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler against Glamorgan.

The Welsh outfit came fourth in the South Group and all-rounder Jim Allenby has been one of the stars of the tournament thus far, having scored 510 runs at an average of 46.36.
