Gautam Gambhir recalled by India for tour of England

Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir is recalled to the Test squad for the tour of England this summer.

India have recalled batsman Gautam Gambhir ahead of their tour to England this summer.

Gambhir is included in the list of 18 players selected for the five-Test series despite not making an appearance in the longest format since December 2012.

Experienced bowler Zaheer Khan is left out of the squad due to doubts over his fitness after the 35-year-old was ruled out of the Indian Premier League due to injury.

Uncapped bowlers Pankaj Singh, Ishwar Pandey and Stuart Binny will all travel to England following an impressive season in Indian domestic cricket.

The first Test begins at Trent Bridge on July 9.
