England have suffered a seven-wicket defeat to the West Indies in Bangladesh in their warm-up match for the upcoming World Twenty20.

Having won the toss and put themselves into bat, England laboured to a score of 131-7 before the West Indies reached their target with just under four overs remaining.

Krishmar Santokie did most of the damage with the ball for the West Indies by taking three wickets, while Samuel Badree, Sheldon Cottrell and Andre Russell also made light work of the batsmen.

Solid knocks of 36 and 58 not out from Dwayne Smith and Chris Gayle respectively made sure that the West Indies swiftly moved towards their winning total before Johnson Charles (7), Marlon Samuels (2) and Lendl Simmons (15 not out) helped them over the line.

James Tredwell, Bopara and Stephen Parry took the wickets for England.
