Ben Stokes doubtful for third Test with back problem

England all-rounder Ben Stokes is battling to be fit for the third Test against the West Indies due to a back problem.

Ben Stokes has given England a potential selection headache ahead of the start of the third Test against the West Indies on Friday.

The Durham all-rounder played in the first two matches for the tourists, but he has been battling a back problem in recent days and was restricted to just a handful of overs in the nets on Thursday.

England were previously expected to name an unchanged side as they go in search of a series triumph after claiming a nine-wicket win in the second Test in Grenada.

However, if Stokes is unavailable it could hand an opportunity to Adil Rashid, who would offer England a valuable leg-spin option on a pitch which is expected to make life tough for the pace bowlers.

Liam Plunkett may be selected ahead of Rashid if the tourists would prefer to add more pace to their attack.
