Sri Lanka win the toss against England and elect to bowl first.

Sri Lanka captain Angelo Matthews has won the toss and decided to field against England in the ICC Champions Trophy Group A clash between the two sides at The Oval.

Matthews said that his decision was due to the grass on the pitch and having three seam bowlers, while Alastair Cook said that he would also have opted to field.

"There's a little bit of grass on it and we're playing three genuine seamers," Matthews told Sky Sports News. "The English team know these conditions well but we need to adapt to them."

Cook said: "I would have had a bowl as well - overhead conditions and a bit of rain around, it looks like a bowl-first wicket."

Play gets underway at 1pm.
