Seven England players unsold at IPL auction

James Anderson, Graeme Swann, Ian Bell, Matt Prior, Ravi Bopara, Owais Shah and Luke Wright all remain unsold after the auction for this year's Indian Premier League.

Seven England players have failed to attract bids at the auction for this year's Indian Premier League.

James Anderson, Graeme Swann, Ian Bell, Matt Prior, Ravi Bopara, Owais Shah and Luke Wright all remained unsold.

Ireland batsman Kevin O'Brien also failed to secure any bids.

England players Kevin Pietersen, Stuart Broad, Eoin Morgan, Paul Collingwood, Michael Lumb and Dimitri Mascarenhas are already under contract to IPL franchises.

Pietersen is the most expensive Englishman and will represent the Delhi Daredevils in the event that runs from April 4 until May 27.

The top sale in this year's auction was India's all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to Chennai for £1.26m.
