Former England and Sussex Sharks wicketkeeper Matt Prior has retired from all forms of cricket on medical advice.
The 33-year-old won 79 caps for England across a seven-year international spell, scoring a total of 4,099 runs during that time.
Prior has not played any cricket since July 2014, however, due to a recurring Achilles tendon injury which has put an end to his international and first-class cricket career.
Having become the first wicketkeeper to score a century on his England debut, against the West Indies in 2007, the South African-born right-hander went on to help his country to three Ashes series victories.
Former Somerset and England wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter was also forced to retire last week due to an eye injury.
