England batsman Kevin Pietersen claims that there will not be a hangover from the 2010 spot fixing scandal during the Test series with Pakistan.

England batsman Kevin Pietersen has revealed that the spot-fixing saga of 2010 will not be a factor ahead of the first Test with Pakistan.

The two nations will meet for the first time in a Test since Mohammad Amir, Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif were all jailed for their part in agreeing to bowl no-balls during a match at Lords.

Pietersen said: "There will not be an undercurrent about what happened in 2010. Not with our players - we've spoken about it and it will not happen at all with us.

"Of course there will still be on-field chat because we play our cricket very hard. There's no way Jimmy Anderson, who is a grumpy bowler, won't be grumpy.

"But there will be no hangover from the past."

The first Test begins in Dubai on Tuesday.
