Ravi Bopara eager to seize England ‘opportunity’ against India in third Test

Batsman Ravi Bopara believes that he is ready to prove himself after being recalled to the England squad for the third Test against India at Edgbaston.

The 26-year-old, who made his last Test appearance two years ago, was called up to replace Jonathan Trott after her suffered a shoulder injury.

Despite the circumstances of his recall Bopara is confident he can make his mark on the potential final match of the Series.

"It's an ideal opportunity for me,” Bopara told Sky Sports News. “I know it's come off the back of an injury to one of our main players but nevertheless it's an opportunity for me.

"I'm chuffed to bits that I've been given the opportunity and I can't wait to start on Wednesday.”

England, who are 2-0 up against India, can clinch victory at Edgbaston ensuring the number one spot of the Test team ranks.
