The NatWest T20 Blast encounter between Derbyshire Falcons and Northants Steelbacks has been abandoned due to rain.

A pitch inspection was carried out at 6.30pm, but umpires have ruled that the surface at the County Ground is unplayable.

The match would have seen reigning champions Northamptonshire take on a team who reside at the bottom of the North Group.

Northamptonshire have won two of their three matches, while Derbyshire are yet to get a point on the board.
