Michael Clarke confirms Indian Premier League talks

Australia skipper Michael Clarke confirms that he is considering an offer to play in the Indian Premier League for the first time.

Australia captain Michael Clarke has revealed that he has held discussions to appear in the Indian Premier League for the first time.

The 30-year-old has previously rebuffed offers to appear in the lucrative event, choosing instead to concentrate on his international career.

However, Clarke has now confessed that talks are ongoing to join the Pune Warriors.

"That opportunity has been presented to my management company and I," he told reporters. "Right now they're discussing it. We will continue to talk about that and make a decision in due course.

"But my focus right now is to make sure I get back and play some good cricket for Australia."

Warriors were founded in 2010.
