Peter Nevill heaps praise on "incredibly supportive" Brad Haddin

Peter Nevill brushes aside questions over Australia's team selection ahead of the fourth Ashes Test at Trent Bridge.

Australia batsman Peter Nevill has thanked Brad Haddin for his 'incredible support' ahead of the fourth Ashes Test.

The 29-year-old impressed against England at Lord's in the second Test, with seven catches and 45 in his only innings as he took the place of Haddin.

Nevill has since retained his spot, despite a crushing defeat last time out which leaves the tourists 2-1 behind in the five-match series.

With big questions being asked over his inclusion, the Melbourne Renegades ace told reporters: "Hadds has just carried himself magnificently. Obviously it's been very difficult circumstances for him since having to pull out of Lord's.

"But he's been incredibly supportive of me and has gone out of his way to make sure I'm as prepared as I can be to play the Test matches. He's a wonderful guy, I've said it many times."

Nevill's 59 at Edgbaston last time out was his maiden Test fifty.
