Uzbekistan's Abbos Atoev has triumphed over Badr-Eddine Haddioui of Morocco in the first middleweight contest of the evening session.
Atoev looked to draw the Moroccan onto him in the first round, connecting with some decent shots to take a 3-1 lead.
Haddioui improved early in the second round, but Atoev produced a good response, timing a nice right hand that penetarted his opponent's defence to open up a three-point gap.
The Uzbek conserved his energy in the final three minutes as he comfortably booked his passage into the second round courtesy of an 11-9 decision.
