fighting Nicola Adams 's India for a place in the gold-medal match of the flyweight division. Mery Kom 's Ireland is chasing an Olympic gold medal to go with her four World Amateur Championship titles. She takes on Tajik opponent Mavzuna Chorieva in her lightweight semi-final. Katie Taylor
continues his campaign in the light flyweight class in the evening session. India's Paddy Barnes stands between him and a spot in the semi-final. Devendro Singh Laishram

will arguably get the loudest cheer in the ExCel Centre this evening when he goes up against Tom Stalker of Munkh-Erdene Uranchimeg for a guaranteed bronze medal. Mongolia

Round 3 Stalker wobbles the Mongolian with a thunderous left hand! Round 3 Stalker launches a big attack, to which Uranchimeg replies in kind. End of Round 2 Uranchimeg takes a 14-13 lead. Stalker has it all to do. Round 2 A vicious exchange between the two. Uranchimeg perhaps landed the better shot, but Stalker was in first. Round 2 Stalker catches his opponent as he tries to move inside. Round 2 Decent right hook from Stalker has Uranchimeg dazed. Another couple of shots seems to have just turned the tide slightly. Round 2 Uranchimeg lands to the body again. Stalker has his hands full. Round 1 Couple of decent shots from Stalker, but Uranchimeg is still on top. Round 1 The Mongolian is overwhelming Stalker with relentless pressure. Round 1 Uranchimeg takes a tumble... Taylor looks nailed on for victory, while Adams's task is a relatively harder one. 3.16pm That brings the afternoon session of day 12 to a close. Team GB's Nicola Adams will fight for gold in the flyweight division, as will Ireland's Katie Taylor in the lightweight. 3.14pm Torlopova has prevailed 12-10 to book a date with America's Claressa Shields in the final of the women's middleweight tournament. 3.08pm The Russian now leads 10-8. Final round. 3.05pm Torlopova drags herself back into it. The scores are now level at the halfway stage. 3.01pm The Chinese fighter leads 4-3 after the first round. 2.59pm Li has been another impressive fighter in this competition so far. 2.57pm Next up: Li Jinzi (China) vs Nadezda Torlopova (Russia) 2.55pm Shields wins 29-15. Impressive from the American. 2.52pm Shields leads 20-11. She has too much brute force for Volnova. 2.48pm The action calmed down a bit in that round but it is still Shields who leads - 12-8. 2.45pm That was a bruising first round! Fast, bursts of action. It is the American who leads 7-5. 2.41pm Next up: Marina Volnova (Kazakhstan) vs Claressa Shields (United States) 2.41pm The Russian will now face Katie Taylor in the final. 2.40pm Ochigava wins 17-11. She won the final round as Araujo came forward in desperation, but I don't know what else to say... 2.34pm Ochigava now leads by four points... this is becoming ridiculous. Araujo is dominating this contest! 2.30pm Ochigava leads 8-6... that's a bit strange. The Brazilian got the better of that round. 2.26pm The fight is tied at 3-3. There isn't much between these two. It seems, even at this early stage, that it could be very close at the end. 2.18pm Next up: Adriana Araujo (Brazil) vs Sofya Ochigava (Russia) 2.17pm The ExCel is going nuts for Katie Taylor! Round 4 Chorieva throws a combination, but nothing gets through Taylor's defence. Round 4 Taylor bounces on her toes and looks coiled like a cobra. She could spring her attacks at any moment and looks very impressive. Although she has been tagged a few times... End of Round 3 Taylor nows leads 13-6 and has this fight all but sewn up. Round 3 Chorieva lands one as Taylor comes in to attack. A little reminder for her to stay on her toes. Round 3 Taylor finishes a great combination with a superb left hook. Round 3 Chorieva is being warned for 'gamesmanship'. She was beckoning Taylor to attack... God knows why. The Irishwoman looks strong. Round 3 Taylor lands with a nice combination. End of Round 2 Taylor extends her lead to 7-3. She stepped it up slightly in that round. Round 2 Taylor comes forward and gets through with one or two. She comes forward again and lands a few more, but gets clipped herself. Round 2 Taylor is showing signs that she is starting to get on top now. Taylor's footwork is sharp but Chorieva looks quite dangerous. End of Round 1 Taylor has taken a 3-1 lead. Not much happening in the first round though... Round 1 Taylor is bouncing up and down while Chorieva skips around the ring. Finally they engage... Round 1 Neither fighter willing to commit themselves early. 2.02pm Up next: Katie Taylor (Ireland) vs Mavzuna Chorieva (Tajikistan) End of Round 4 Comfortbale final round from Adams who was in cruise control. Round 4 Adams is still not letting Kom into this and has wrapped up victory. End of Round 3 Adams leads 8-4 and is in complete control of this bout. Round 3 Kom is being punished for every attack that falls short... which is pretty much all of her attacks. She has Kom's card well and truly marked. Round 3 Adams is back on the offensive again. End of Round 2 Adams is boxing beautifully and she has stretched that lead to 5-2. Round 2 Kom steps in but does not throw, which enticing Adams forward. She connects with a decent straight left. Round 2 Kom cannot land a clean shot. Adams looks too fast. Round 1 Kom is finding Adams to be a hard target. Round 1 Kom goes at Adams, who ties her up on the inside. Adams gets a couple of decent uppercuts away. 1.46pm This promises to be a great encounter. 1.44pm Next up: Mery Kom (India) vs Nicola Adams (Great Britain) 1.43pm Ren wins through 1-8 and will fight for a gold medal. 1.39pm Esparza cuts the deficit to two points.
