Sweden's Anthony Yigit has defeated Francisco Vargas Ramirez of Puerto Rico to take the final spot in the last 16 of the Olympic light welterweight draw.
Yigit got off to a flyer and led the bout 5-2 before Vargas settled into a rhythm, tying the second stanza 3-3.
The Swede came out fast in the third, hoping to kill it before Vargas could find a way back in.
However, a beautiful right from the Puerto Rican had him rattled, before a nice right jab kept him off balance.
Yigit was still full of energy as the time ebbed away for Vargas, who could not pull it out the hat and the Swede who prevailed.
