Boxing roundup: Wins for Luke Campbell, Anthony Crolla, Scott Quigg

Sports Mole brings you a roundup of the fights on the undercard to the eagerly-anticipated bout between Carl Froch and George Groves.

WBA world super bantamweight Scott Quigg has bounced back from the disappointment of his last fight by blowing Diego Oscar Silva away in the second round.

The 23-year-old was unlucky to be denied a victory in the first defence of his title against Yoandris Salinas, but came up with a peach of a shot to take his record to 27-0-2.

Earlier in the evening, Olympic gold medallist Luke Campbell beat Chuck Jones to earn his fourth victory as a professional.

The 26-year-old lightweight was taken the four-round distance, but earned a comfortable decision on the scorecards.

Rocky Fielding successfully defended his Commonwealth super middleweight title with a brilliant first-round stoppage of Luke Blackledge.

The Liverpool fighter found the target with a big shot to leave the 23-year-old from Accrington flat on his back.

Stephen Smith picked up the vacant WBC International Silver super featherweight title by stopping Sergio Manuel Medina in the eighth round, while Anthony Crolla forced Stephen Foster to quit on his stool in their all-Manchester lightweight bout.

Like Quigg, Jamie McDonnell also got back on track after being stripped of the IBF bantamweight strap by stopping 40-year-old Frenchman Bernard Inom in the seventh round.

There was also a routine second-round victory for Andy Lee as he took on Ferenc Hafner.
