Deontay Wilder keen to face Tyson Fury in 2015

American heavyweight Deontay Wilder reveals that he is eyeing up a showdown with British boxer Tyson Fury next autumn.

American heavyweight Deontay Wilder believes that a potential showdown with Tyson Fury wouldn't require any input from a promoter.

The two fighters have been involved in several exchanges on social media that has resulted in a clash between the pair being seen as one of the biggest fights in the heavyweight division.

Wilder is scheduled to face Jason Gavern on Saturday night, while Fury will compete against Dereck Chisora in November, but the knockout specialist is already looking ahead to a bout with one of his rivals.

The 28-year-old told Sky Sports News: "In the back of your mind you already know who you want me to fight - Tyson Fury. You know the way me and him have been dealing with all out on social media. I don't think that we even need a promoter for this one.

"It's been going on for a couple of years, it's been me and him going back and forth, it's been comedy and me and him shooting our mouths off, so the publicity side of this is out there.

"Everyone wants to see this happen. We've already sold it! All that needs to be done is name a date, a time and a location and it will happen next year in September."

If Wilder beats Gavern this evening, he will face Bermane Stiverne for the WBC title at the end of the year.
