Rees, 32, will be returning to the ring for the first time since his defeat to Adrien Broner.
The former WBA light welterweight champion brings a 37-2-1 record to the contest, with his only other defeat coming to Andriy Kotelnik in 2008.
Meanwhile, 26-year-old Crolla (25-4-1) battled to a draw in his last outing against Derry Matthews in Liverpool.
