British super-bantamweight Scott Quigg insists that he is more focused on winning a world title than facing division rival Carl Frampton.

British super-bantamweight Scott Quigg believes that rival Carl Frampton should focus on his own career rather than talking about a potential match between the two.

A domestic showdown between the two fighters is highly anticipated, but it is unlikely to happen in the near future after Quigg revealed that his primary target is to win a world title.

The 24-year-old told the Manchester Evening News: "I don't worry about Carl Frampton. My career is not going to be based on me beating Carl Frampton. It's going to be based on me getting to the top and being world champion.

"I am not focused on him. Where they are going wrong is that they are always looking at me and focused on me. That's going to be their downfall."

Quigg is the current WBA interim champion, which could put him in line to face Yoandris Salinas for the vacant title.
