Former British boxer Johnny Nelson thinks that David Haye needs to defeat Vitali Klitschko in order to "redeem" his lacklustre performance during the bout with Wladimir Klitshcko.
The 31-year-old, who announced his retirement last month, is believed to be returning to the ring one more time to take on Vitali.
"The loss to Wladimir wasn't David Haye and that's exactly why he has to come out and have one more fight," Nelson told talkSPORT.
"If you're having an off day then you're having an off day. It's probably what he said afterwards that tarnished everything he'd achieved.
"That remark [about his broken toe] put everything he did in his career into darkness, so he has to come back and redeem himself."
Wladimir won the fight earlier this year against the former heavyweight by unanimous vote.
