Result: Roniel Iglesias wins light welterweight final

Cuba's Roniel Iglesias beats Ukraine's Denys Berinchyk 22-15 to win light welterweight gold at the Olympics.

Cuba's Roniel Iglesias has won Olympic light welterweight gold by beating Ukraine's Denys Berinchyk by seven points.

The Cuban settled down early on and was the better fighter in the opening round, edging in front by one point.

Berinchyk wanted a tear-up and he managed to suck Iglesias into one - however, he was being bested and fell 11-9 behind as they entered the final round.

The Ukrainian dug deep within himself and fought bravely as the time ebbed away, but it was Iglesias who went on to claim a 22-15 verdict.
