Washington Wizards point guard John Wall believes that the team's fans deserve to see their team in the playoffs.

John Wall has said that the Washington Wizards' fans deserve to see their team in the NBA playoffs.

Last night's 118-92 win over the Boston Celtics ensures that the Wizards will feature in the post-season for the first time since 2008.

The point guard told reporters: "It's everything I've been waiting for, as being a point guard, and trying to learn how to lead in this league, and become a better player.

"But also I think the fans deserve it. I mean, the tough times they've been through, booing us and us feeling bad when we're not playing good or playing the right way."

The Wizards are the sixth team in the Eastern Conference to confirm their place in the playoffs.
