Miami beat Oklahoma to win NBA Championship

A 121-106 victory gives the Miami Heat their second NBA Championship as a franchise after completing a 4-1 series triumph.

The Miami Heat have produced a devastating team performance to clinch their second NBA title after completing a 4-1 series victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Florida.

LeBron James was named MVP as he finished with 26 points and 13 assists but the small forward was well supported by Mike Miller (23 points) and Chris Bosh (24 points) as the Heat cruised to a score of 121-106.

Miami took control of the game immediately as the trio of James, Bosh and Dwayne Wade put the Thunder on the back foot with a number of effective plays in the first quarter.

Oklahoma's offensive play failed to produce the same results as it had done in the regular season and a disappointing second period meant that the Heat were 10 points ahead at half time.

Miller was used in short bursts by Erik Spoelstra but his performance was vital as he managed to shoot seven three-pointers during his 23 minutes on court.

Miami were dominant in the third quarter with the home side's defensive display frustrating Kevin Durant and his Thunder teammates as the Heat led 95-71 heading into the final quarter.

James continued his dazzling performance until the final minutes when he and Wade were given a standing ovation for their performances and despite losing the final quarter, the Heat closed out the contest to secure the NBA title.
