The Portland Trail Blazers end their bad post-season luck against the Houston Rockets with a 122-120 overtime win in their first encounter of the playoff series.

The Portland Trail Blazers have put an end to their bad post-season luck against the Houston Rockets with a 122-120 overtime win in their first encounter of the playoff series on Sunday night.

LaMarcus Aldridge shone with a playoff franchise-record 46 points, while also grabbing a post-season career-high 18 rebounds, with Damian Lillard producing 31 points and nine boards in his first playoff appearance to help the visitors to victory.

In Miami, the Charlotte Bobcats fell to their 17th defeat at the hands of the Miami Heat, as Erik Spoelstra's side won out 99-88 at the American Airlines Arena.

LeBron James was the standout performer in Florida as he totalled 27 points and nine rebounds, while Dwyane Wade added 23 points and five assists during the encounter.

Sunday night also saw Nene return to the starting lineup for the Washington Wizards and he scored 24 points to help them grab a 102-93 win over the Chicago Bulls.

The Wizards also had Trevor Ariza (18 points) and John Wall (16 points) to thank, as they beat the Bulls for the third time in four games this campaign.

Finally, in Texas, the San Antonio Spurs produced a 90-85 home win against the Dallas Mavericks, courtesy of a match-winning performance from Tim Duncan, who scored 27 points at the AT&T Center.
