Former Portland Trail Blazers guard Wesley Matthews has revealed that he was left frustrated with how his time at the franchise came to an end.

Matthews has since joined the Dallas Mavericks, but will continue his rehabilitation programme after suffering a torn Achilles last season.

However, he has revealed how he failed to receive an offer of a new deal from the Trail Blazers.

"I was pissed off. I felt disrespected," he said, according to The Oregonian.

Executive Neil Olshey has since insisted that had free agent LaMarcus Aldridge chosen to return to the franchise next season, the Trail Blazers would not have opted to rebuild.
