NBA roundup: Phoenix Suns set season record for first-half points

Sports Mole brings you a roundup of Sunday night's NBA action, as the Phoenix Suns recorded the highest first-half points tally of the season so far.

The Phoenix Suns recorded a first-half score of 79, the highest total in the NBA this season, as they overcame the Atlanta Hawks 129-120 at the US Airways Center on Sunday night.

Gerald Green shone with 33 points for the Suns, who also had Markieff Morris to thank, with the power forward notching 21 points and eight rebounds off the bench.

At the Chesapeake Energy Arena, the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Charlotte Bobcats 116-99, as Kevin Durant continued his fine form by notching over 25 points in 25 consecutive games.

Durant led the City scoring with 28 points, while Russell Westbrook also stepped up with a total of 26 points on the night.

Meanwhile, down in Texas, Tony Parker's returned inspired the San Antonio Spurs to a 112-106 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, with point guard producing a 22-point, seven-assist game on his comeback from injury.

The Indiana Pacers continue to march on, with their second win in two nights, following a slender 94-91 defeat of the Utah Jazz at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Joakim Noah was the standout performer at the United Center on Sunday, as he got his fifth career triple-double with 13 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high 14 assists in the Chicago Bulls' 109-90 victory over the New York Knicks.

The Toronto Raptors played an impressive defensive game as they limited the Golden State Warriors in their 104-98 victory, with DeMar DeRozan collecting 32 points for the hosts during the encounter.

Finally, Tobias Harris scored a career-high 31 points as the Orlando Magic rallied back to beat the Philadelphia 76ers 92-81, with the hosts also being helped by a reviving partnership between Kyle O'Quinn and E'Twaun Moore.
