NBA roundup: Third loss in a row for Oklahoma City Thunder

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Wednesday night's games in the NBA.

The Oklahoma City Thunder lost their third game in a row as they were beaten by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The two sides were well-balanced throughout the first three quarters, but Kyrie Irving, who finished the game with 31 points, led a fourth-quarter charge, allowing the visitors to come away with the win over the Western Conference leaders.

The Chicago Bulls eased to a win over the Golden State Warriors, opening up a comfortable lead before half time.

Taj Gibson and Carlos Boozer helped the home side outscore their opponents by 14 points in the second quarter before continuing to pull away after the break, leaving the Warriors with too much to do.

The San Antonio Spurs split the workload as they took a win over the Detroit Pistons.

Marco Belinelli led the scoring with 20, but was one of eight players in double points for the home side, including Kawhi Leonard, who was returning from a 14-game layoff with a broken finger.

The Orlando Magic came from behind to secure their first win away from home in 17 attempts, beating the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Magic started the second half well, ensuring that they headed into the fourth quarter level, before Jameer Nelson and Nikola Vucevic led a dominant spell to put the visitors ahead.

The Portland Trail Blazers crushed the Brooklyn Nets to seal their 40th win of the season.

The Blazers sealed their fourth straight win as Mo Williams and Will Barton combined for 41 in a high-scoring performance from the home side, who are still without leading scorer LaMarcus Aldridge.

A late run ensured that the Los Angeles Clippers held on for a win over the Houston Rockets.

Blake Griffin helped the hosts into the lead with a 23-point performance, before Darren Collison added seven late on to make sure of the win for the Clippers.

The Dallas Mavericks sealed a comfortable win over the New Orleans Pelicans for their fourth victory of the season over their Southwest Division rivals.

The Pelicans lost top scorer Anthony Davis to a shoulder injury, allowing Monta Ellis and Vince Carter to control the scoring for the Mavericks.

The Los Angeles Lakers left it too late as they tried to fight back in the fourth quarter against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Marc Gasol and Courtnee Lee helped the home side to a 19-point lead by half time, but the Lakers had six players finish with more than 10 points as they got back into contention, but could not steal the win.

The Utah Jazz thrashed the Phoenix Suns with a dominant display in the second half.

The home side had headed into the break ahead, but Gordon Hayward and Richard Jefferson helped the Jazz pull away further in the third quarter.

The Boston Celtics finished strongly to clinch a win over the Atlanta Hawks, breaking their five-game losing streak.

Jerryd Bayliss scored a season-high 29 points from a rare start, while Rajon Rondo had 22 as the home side surged ahead in the final quarter.
