Oklahoma City Thunder thrash Los Angeles Lakers

The Oklahoma City Thunder cruise to a 131-102 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers were crushed by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second meeting between the two teams in five days.

Having been beaten by the Western Conference's bottom side at the weekend, the Thunder raced to a 14-point lead in the first quarter, and never looked like letting the Lakers back into the game.

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant split the scoring duties for the home side, each adding 29 points to give the team their second win in a row.

Jodie Meeks, who had a career-high 42 during Sunday's win for Los Angeles, could only add 19, while Ryan Kelly tried to bring the visitors back into the game before half time.

However, the Lakers have allowed 131 points or more in four of their last five games, all of which have resulted in defeat.

The result leaves the Thunder second in the Western Conference, level on wins with the San Antonio Spurs.
