Isaiah Austin given NBA role after completing degree

NBA commissioner Adam Silver promises Isaiah Austin a full-time job after he finishes his degree after the player was ruled out from playing due to a serious illness.

Isaiah Austin has been given a job within the NBA, but only when he completes his college degree.

Austin was projected to make the first round of this year's NBA Draft but his dream was destroyed after he was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome.

With his dream shattered, Adam Silver specially selected Austin in the Draft to fulfil a part of his dream but now the NBA commissioner has promised the 20-year-old a full-time job once he finishes his degree, TMZ reports.

Austin has worked for the league's program NBA Cares and has revealed that he is now more motivated to get back and finish his studies.
