Report: Phil Jackson, Derek Fisher discuss New York Knicks vacancy

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Derek Fisher reportedly discuss the Knicks' coaching vacancy.

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson has reportedly spoken to Derek Fisher regarding the team's search for a new coach.

The Oklahoma City Thunder guard has been linked with the role, but admitted that he needed time to think about his future following the team's exit from the NBA playoffs.

According to ESPN, the pair discussed the job during a brief telephone conversation earlier this week.

The Knicks fired Mike Woodson at the end of the regular season after the team missed out on a place in the playoffs.
