Miami Heat's Draft pick Shabazz Napier hopes that his selection may cause LeBron James to change his mind about opting out of his contract in Florida.

The Miami Heat's latest Draft pick Shabazz Napier is hoping that his arrival at the team may persuade self-confessed fan LeBron James to stay in Florida.

James made shockwaves recently when his agent informed the Heat that his client would be looking to make use of being a free agent this summer, but Napier is hoping that things might turn out differently.

"He's one of the best players in the world," Napier told reporters.

"So if me going there helps him come back, it just betters our chances of being a complete team."

James recently professed his admiration for the youngster, claiming that he was his "favourite player in the Draft".
